The long and storied history of The Chevron Championship writes a new chapter this week as the major will be played for the first time at its new home at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas. Known as one of the elite municipal courses in the country, Memorial Park will host 132 of the best players in the women’s game in, what will be, the first major staged at the public venue. Here’s a look at some of the notable groups that will tee it up in the opening rounds of The Chevron Championship and compete for the $9 mil purse.

Thursday, 8:15 a.m. CT, 1st tee; Friday, 1:15 p.m. CT, 10th tee - Hannah Green, Hyo Joo Kim, Charley Hull

Green will look to keep her winning ways alive at The Chevron Championship as she arrives at the season’s first major already a four-time winner worldwide in 2026. Green is eager to take on a new venue for the championship as she missed the cut at each of the three playings of The Chevron Championship that were held at The Club at Carlton Woods. Also enjoying a strong start to the year, Kim is already a two-time winner this season on the LPGA Tour with back-to-back victories at the Fortinet Founders Cup and Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass. Last week, Kim withdrew ahead of the second round of the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro. Hull has enjoyed a consistent start to her year with three top 10s in four starts on the LPGA Tour and already hoisted a trophy on the Ladies European Tour in 2026. Hull will be chasing her first major title this week in Houston.

Thursday, 8:39 a.m. CT, 1st tee; Friday, 1:39 p.m. CT, 10th tee - Lexi Thompson, Patty Tavatanakit, Lydia Ko

Thompson, a winner of The Chevron Championship in 2014, is making just her second start of the LPGA Tour season as she continues to keep a limited playing schedule. Thompson missed the cut in her first start at the Ford Championship in March. Tavatanakit, who won The Chevron Championship at Mission Hills Country Club, will look to build on last week’s success in which she was tied for fifth at the JM Eagle LA Championship. Ko, who won The Chevron Championship in 2016, is making her first start since the Aramco Championship. Ko has already racked up three top 5s to start the year as she looks to win her fourth major title this week.

Thursday, 1:15 p.m. CT, 10th tee; Friday, 8:15 a.m. CT, 1st tee - Lauren Coughlin, Lottie Woad, Chizzy Iwai

Coughlin, already a winner this season in Las Vegas at the Aramco Championship, was tied for 28th on Sunday in Los Angeles. Coughlin had some success at the Club at Carlton Woods that she’ll look to bring to Memorial Park where she’ll be in the hunt for her first major title. Woad will tee it up in her first The Chevron Championship since turning professional as she continues to play her first full season on the LPGA Tour. Woad was tied for 36th on Sunday in Los Angeles. Iwai is coming into the season's first major off her third top 10 finish of the season, having held the lead in L.A. where she came away in a tie for seventh.

Thursday, 1:39 p.m. CT, 10th tee; Friday, 8:39 a.m. CT, 1st tee - Mao Saigo, Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu

The last three winners of The Chevron Championship will be grouped together for the first two days. Saigo, who won a five-person playoff last season, was disappointed to see the championship move to Memorial Park given her success last year. Saigo will look to rediscover the magic she found last season in Houston as she’s struggled in recent weeks with missed cuts in her last two starts at the Ford Championship as well as the Aramco Championship. Her best finish of the season has been a tie for 21st at the HSBC Women’s World Championship. Korda, who won The Chevron Championship in 2024 at The Club at Carlton Woods, has enjoyed a hot start to the year with a win at the season opener, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. She has kept that momentum rolling by finishing runner-up in her other three starts of the season. Vu, who won The Chevron Championship in its first year at the Club at Carlton Woods in 2023, is coming off her best finish of the year with a tie for 43rd in Los Angeles.
