TOURNAMENT SUCCESS DRIVES SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT IN HOUSTON-AREA AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

HOUSTON, Texas – The 2026 edition of The Chevron Championship delivered $3 million in charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations in the Houston area and beyond, underscoring the Tournament’s continued commitment to advancing human progress through strategic community investment.

Through initiatives such as the Chevron Challenge, the tournament once again served as a powerful platform to support organizations focused on STEM education, diversity and inclusion, and the advancement of women. For every birdie recorded on the par-3 15th hole during competition rounds, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. contributed funding to benefit 16 community partners.

Across the week, players combined for 42 birdies, generating $1.5 million in contributions. In recognition of Nelly Korda’s second The Chevron Championship title, Chevron doubled that total—bringing the overall charitable impact of the 2026 tournament to $3 million.

Korda’s victory capped a dominant, wire-to-wire performance at the City of Houston’s Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, where she secured the third career major championship of her young career. With the win, she also ascended to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings to match her top standing in the LPGA Tour’s Race to the CME Globe. Korda added her fourth major title last week at the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally at Riviera Country Club, further cementing her standing as the top player in the women’s game today.

While Korda’s performance provided a compelling on-course storyline, the broader success of the Tournament extended well beyond the competition. Strong fan engagement at the Tournament’s new Memorial Park home, combined with meaningful community activation, reinforced the event’s growing role as both a premier global sporting event and a catalyst for lasting impact.

Since 2022, the first year of Chevron’s title sponsorship of the event, Chevron, The Chevron Championship and its community partners have contributed more than $15 million to organizations driving positive outcomes across the greater Houston area and beyond.

Featured 2026 community partners include Catalyst, Fab Foundation, DonorsChoose, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, LPGA Foundation, Brothers in Arms, Women in Golf Foundation, Prairie View A&M University, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf (all three local chapters), Cameron Champ Foundation, American Heart Association, First Tee – Greater Houston, Western Golf Association / Evans Scholars Foundation, American Cancer Society, AJGA (Nelly Invitational), and Memorial Park Conservancy (Fuel Your Park).

New this year, Chevron also supported the Memorial Park Conservancy’s Fuel Your Park initiative, directing a portion of proceeds to help preserve, restore, and enhance Memorial Park for the benefit of the Houston community.
