Field for The Chevron Championship Taking Shape as LPGA Tour Swings Through Asia

February 27, 2025

Players have five more opportunities to earn a spot at the first major of the year

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (Feb. 27, 2025) – The LPGA Tour is in the middle of its traditional springtime visit to Asia this week, continuing today at the HSBC Women’s World Championship at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. With three events in the books, the field for The Chevron Championship is taking shape.

Earlier this month, the Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands produced a first-time winner as Yealimi Noh topped the leaderboard with a four-day score of 21-under par. With the win, the 23-year-old Californian guaranteed herself a spot in The Chevron Championship for this year, avoiding the need to qualify on points via the Race to the CME Globe. Other athletes currently committed to join Noh in the field are the last four winners of The Chevron Championship: Nelly Korda (2024), Lilia Vu (2023), Jennifer Kupcho (2022) and Patty Tavatanakit (2021).

The Chevron Championship showcases the brightest stars in women’s golf. The 132-player field will include past winners, major champions from the last five years, players who have won on tour over the last two years, elite amateur tournament winners and leading players in the Race to the CME Global standings.

The LPGA Tour’s first major gets underway at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas on Thursday, April 24, and over the course of four days many of the world’s best female golfers will compete for the opportunity to lift the Dinah Shore Trophy, take the traditional leap into the lake and pocket the winner’s share of the $7.9 million purse.

For golf fans in Texas and around the world, The Chevron Championship offers a can’t-miss opportunity to watch world-class golf at one of the most beautiful courses in the state. It’s also an ideal opportunity to introduce family members of all ages to the game, as juniors aged 17 and under will receive complimentary admission with the purchase of an accompanying adult ticket.

Fans can purchase tickets or view details on ticket options at SeatGeek.com. Daily and weekly ticket and hospitality packages are available to help fans enjoy every moment of the action at The Club at Carlton Woods. Spectator Passes start at $40 for single-day admission, while weekly admission for all four days of play starts at $200. Daily and weekly Spectator Passes include access to tournament grounds, various open seating options across the course and food and beverage options available for purchase at concessions stands.

Guests seeking an elevated tournament experience can enjoy an all-inclusive experience, premium views and enhanced amenities at the St. Luke’s Health Pavilion. A portion of the proceeds from St. Luke’s Health Pavilion tickets will benefit a local charity.

Including the two remaining tournaments in Asia, players who have yet to secure a spot in The Chevron Championship field still have five opportunities to play their way in with a win or by playing consistently well enough to move up the Race to the CME Globe standings going into The Chevron Championship.

Fans who would like an up-close, and often more rewarding, experience at The Chevron Championship are invited to register as a volunteer for the tournament. Volunteers have the opportunity to experience the tournament from a different perspective, including from inside the ropes.
